Beautiful Mothers Day, Thanks You's, and a fe

Journal Entry: Sun May 11, 2008, 7:17 PM
Spent the day out with my lovely wife. Told her the day was hers. She wanted to take the puppies for a drive so off to the river we went. Camera in tow. What a day. What a week. I have photographed several warblers I have never even seen before. Got some beautiful shots of Great Blue herons and added some new watchers.

I most admit I haven't had time to thank everyone and respond to all these comments I have been getting. For that I am sorry. But do believe me when I say that I do appreciate all the comments and views.

Here is a photographer that is well worth checking out.

:iconcycoze: Cycoze is an amazing wildlife photographer and well worth the watch. These are some of my favorites from his gallery.

Eagles and Someone to watch over me

Journal Entry: Sun Jan 6, 2008, 4:59 PM
Well we went for a drive along the Mississippi river today even though it was cloudy and foggy. Took the puppies with just to get them used to driving as well. It was a great day just to check out the new GPS I got for christmas. Saw a few Bald Eagles today a few hawks but only got a couple of shots.

This shot blew my mind. No sun all day until I pulled up to him. Clouds opened up just enough to light him up for a few shots then closed up just as he flew away. I know there is someone or something helping me with my photography.

A few features of great photographers.

Great day and dA subscription

Oh it was a great day today. Saw about 100 eagles and 1000's of Tundra Swans. Also got my first shot of a wild beaver. Not the best but things can only get better.

I will start to upload some of the swan pictures during the week. I took a ton of them and I need to look at them all.

My subscription is almost expired and it's gonna have to hold off for a little while before I renew it.

Freedom is not free.

Freedom is not free, but the U.S. Marine Corps will pay most of your share. - Ned Dolan

Well It is the Marine Corp Birthday and tomorrow is Veterans Day. So my heart and prayers go out to all the men and women who have served and sacrificed to protect these freedoms so many tend to take for granted

THE SOLDIER

IT IS THE SOLDIER, NOT THE REPORTER, WHO HAS GIVEN US FREEDOM OF THE PRESS.

IT IS THE SOLDIER, NOT THE POET, WHO HAS GIVEN US FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

IT IS THE SOLDIER, NOT THE ORGANIZER, WHO HAS GIVEN US THE FREEDOM TO DEMONSTRATE.

IT IS THE SOLDIER, WHO SALUTES THE FLAG, WHO SERVES BENEATH THE FLAG,

AND WHOSE COFFIN IS DRAPED BY THE FLAG, WHO ALLOWS THE PROTESTER TO BURN THE FLAG.

Sobering Thought.............

This beautiful tribute was written by Father Denis Edward O'Brien M.M. USMC. In addition, the above tribute was in the speech given by Georgia Senator Zell Miller at the Republican National Convention in New York City. Let's all remember to say "thank you" to every one we meet in uniform.

I always say thank you to anyone in uniform. Even have bought someone lunch. Please do the same for them.

Site Frustration-web site design

Journal Entry: Mon Nov 5, 2007, 9:23 PM
Well not with dA. Yet I am trying to redo Nature-Exposed as a community it didn't do what I was hoping. Yet what I failed to think about is that I need to promote my work and Don A work. The frustration is that I am my worst customer. I could design something for anyone but when it comes to my own stuff nothing is good enough. Well maybe tomorrow something will jump up and hit me in the face. I need to come up with a site layout so I can have my friend code the site.

Enough babble I have a puppy to play with.
